With more than 10 years of experience in the fitness industry, Yva is currently an aerial instructor, flexibility trainer and yoga teacher in Singapore.

Having been a cheerleader in her university days, Yva started her teaching journey as a IFC certified cheerleading coach. She went on to take up pole dancing, became a FPDFA certified pole fitness instructor and started teaching, performing and competing. She is also certified to teach yoga and flexibility. Her strong beliefs in the value of continual education and growth as an aerialist and instructor have led her to participate in various courses/workshops in different countries to keep her knowledge updated and improve her teaching.

In addition to having appeared in The Straits Times, Yva has been interviewed by Singapore Women’s Weekly and omy.sg. She has also performed at private and public events, and competed in numerous competitions both locally and overseas, including the prestigious Arnold Classic Asia Pole Championship Series 2016 and Miss Pole Dance HK 2014, where she was crowned the Champion and Miss Trickster.

Known for having a keen eye for detail, Yva’s classes emphasize safe and effective training with proper techniques. Never a fan of “mirror muscles”, Yva ensures that her students focus on not just toning the superficial muscles, but also enhancing their full range of motion and functional strength. Don’t be fooled by her strict and no-nonsense demeanor – her classes are lighthearted and littered with jokes and laughters.
